Hydrosol
Conventional toners often contain a blend of ingredients, sometimes including alcohol or acids, which may not suit all skin types. In contrast, a hydrosol is simply the pure essence of a plant—a single, unadulterated ingredient.
Used after cleansing, a hydrosol offers much more than a toner. Its purity makes it kinder to the skin, versatile in its uses, and aromatherapeutic. Join us as we delve into the production process of hydrosol.
Aypa’s Hydrosol: More Than a Facial Toner
Our organically produced hydrosol is handcrafted using fresh leaves of Hierba Luisa, also recognized as lemon verbena or Peruvian cedron.
The verdant leaves of the Hierba Luisa plant undergo steam distillation to extract the plant’s essential oil. During this process, the essential oil is separated from the water, leaving behind a water infused with the living cells of the plant. These cells are rich in nourishing minerals, phytosterols, antioxidants, and countless other natural botanical compounds.
This exquisite process imbues Aypa Hierba Luisa Hydrosol with all the aromatic and therapeutic qualities of the plant.
